Hideaway

It was my favorite place. Just by the water, the smooth rocks left just enough room for a path to jump across the bank. I could make a small campfire and grill pancakes by the spot where I used to imagine I was queen of the fairies. It all came back to me while I gazed at the area where I spent most of my childhood. Even now, with my grand sailing expeditions and my collection of merchandise from around the world, nothing could compare to the sanctuary of my imagination. I could almost hear our giggles and see the world from younger eyes as I sat across from the water and watched the dragonflies dart from one rock to another. The place was timeless and special. Not just any river bank. Here I sailed across the sea, became a divine ruler and survived a journey across a dangerous bridge. Soon my children would have these adventures, and discover a world so close and yet so far from home. 

Limits and Obstacles

Acknowledge your limits.

Don't ignore them. 

If you do,

you'll empower them.

You'll come to a point

where nothing makes sense.

Everything is crazy.

Everything is a mess.

There's a reason why

people say

to take care of yourself

and focus on today.

When you constantly worry

stress and freak out.

The only thing

you'll acomplish

is to stomp and shout.

But if you take it:

one day at a time,

and

accept your limits,

you will be fine.

Kingdom Hearts Challenge Day 28: Favorite Voice

Roxas/ Jesse McCartney


I really can't imagine Roxas or Ventus with any other voice. It suits both characters and has become a signature to define the exact opposite of Sora. Roxas is calm and Ventus is curious, both of these characters are voiced very well, and their voice actor is the same person, but these characters do not sound the same.

Perfectly Flawed: A Kyouru playlist

This has been a work in progress for awhile, but I think it's finally done. Due to my reread and massive posts of playlists on tumblr, I decided to share my own playlist. Each song represents a specific meaning or moment in Kyou and Tohru's story, and it reflects my own personality in the music I chose as well. I'll point out the important lyrics.
(I don't own any of these pictures. I added them as an accent to the playlist)

The Stars:

"Happy Go Lucky"- Steps

This smile's a frown turned upside down
 I do my happy go lucky so well
 I'm even fooling myself."

Tohru begins her story after a tough moment in her life. Smiling is her coping mechanism.

"Monster"- Skillet

The secret side of me, I never let you see
I keep it caged but I can't control it
So stay away from me, the beast is ugly

Kyou begins his story in a dark despair. He is always the outcast, and his past haunts him in more ways than one.

Moments:

 In places no one will find

It was there that I realized

The moment I saw you cry

This song defines the moment Tohru sees Kyou's true form.

"Love's Divine"- Seal
 Then the rainstorm came, over me
And I felt my spirit break
I had lost all of my, belief you see
And realized my mistake
But time threw a prayer, to me
And all around me became still

This song defines Kyou's point of view when he is forced to reveal his true form.

 There's a song that's inside of my soul
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again
I'm awake in the infinite cold
But You sing to me over and over and over again


Tohru's point of view when she realizes she likes Kyou.

I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies 

Kyou is slowly learning that it is alright to be close to other people, and not everyone will reject him. Especially Tohru.

My first treasure took me years to find
It's what I cling to when confusion clouds my mind

Tohru sees Kyou as a person, not a monster. She can be herself around him.

To make the river flow where its run dry
To be a protocol of father time
Then I would see you tonight

Kyou's guilt from the past causes him to push Tohru away, even though he actually loves her.

'Cause everything you do and words you say
You know that it all takes my breath away

This song seems perfect for the day Tohru gets out of the hospital and Kyou confesses.

San Francisco trip :)

Today I will upload a week's worth of blogging inspired by my trip to visit a friend in San Francisco! It was a lot of fun and I learned a few things about myself while I was there. I hope you enjoy my fun stories and reflections!

The Blog is Back!

Okay, now that I'm finished with finals, and my application, I have time to blog again!
I've decided on a Summer Schedule with a focus on fun! Here it is:

Star Sundays: This topic idea came from the Korean drama You're Beautiful. In the show, Tae- Kyeong has night blindness and can't see stars. Go Mi Nyeo develops a habit of collecting stars for him. I thought it would be a cute idea.

Music Mondays: I love music and sometimes I'm inspired by certain instrumentals or songs.

Traveling Tuesdays: This topic will focus on places I have been, or places I would like to go. It could be a poem, short story or simply a reflection.

Writing Wednesdays: Writing Prompts are really fun and each random topic broadens my horizons.

Thoughtful Thursdays: I am always thinking, so why not dedicate a day to my brain.

Fantasy Fridays: Any number of pieces that come from my imagination.

Silly Saturdays: Anything funny, light-hearted and happy!

So there you have it. My new blog schedule will focus on fun and living life. Each experience will help me learn something new, and give me the confidence to pursue my dreams!
